Tips for a smooth digestion

Most of us are suffering from digestive problems such as irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, diarrhea, stomach ache and nausea. With some machine operators and other modern jobs, workers can find themselves stressed and with little time to eat properly, take toilet breaks or exercise; all of which can play havoc with their digestion. Here are some simple tips for a healthy digestive system.
  • Taking a daily probiotic will increase the number of good bacteria in your gut, as well as eating foods such as bananas, artichokes and leeks. Good bacteria can help to maintain immunity and a healthy digestive tract.
  • Exercise at least 30 minutes' exercise, five times a week, will help the gut to digest food. Try weights for strength, something aerobic, such as running for fat-burning, and yoga for stress busting.
  • Get more fibre around 24g a day.
